Howdy Ags! Summer is winding down and football season is
about to kick off. In celebration of the upcoming school
year the Baytown A&M Club is having the annual Howdy Party.
This event is a time for all of the local Aggies to come
together, share a meal, and congratulate the upcoming Aggies
that will be starting a new life in Aggieland this fall.
The Baytown A&M Club has awarded 4 scholarships to incoming
freshman and would like to recognize them at the event. The
Howdy Party is our fund raiser for the Baytown A&M Club
general scholarship fund.
The Howdy Party will take place at 6:30
pm, Saturday, August 20th at Evergreen Point Golf Course
Clubhouse, 1530 Evergreen Road, Baytown, Texas 77523. The
cost is $30 for adults and $15 for children under 12 years
of age. The meal includes a fried fish dinner with cole
slaw, French fries, hush puppies, ice tea and Blue Bell Ice
cream for dessert. All proceeds from the event will go to
the general scholarship fund for both the Baytown A&M Club
and the Baytown Chapter of the A&M Mothers Club. The event
will include a guest speaker, silent auction as well as a
live auction, and the recognition of scholarship
recipients.
Our speaker this year is Mr. David
Sandhop, webmaster for the Aggie Websider.com, a website
entirely devoted to Aggie athletics. David has roots in
Baytown and will bring an independent perspective on the
upcoming year for Aggie athletics and the future of the Big
12.
