The school colors of A&M
are the distinctive Aggie Maroon and White.
During the 1880's and 1890's, the football team wore striped red
and white (grey) jerseys with black pants.
The red and white was used until World War I, when the maroon was
formally selected by James Sullivan, business manager for athletics.
Today, Aggie Maroon and White is an important symbol of Texas
A&M University.
