A salad supper was served and enjoyed
by everyone. During supper, the officers introduced
themselves.
Due to Manju Wadhwani's absence, the
treasurer's report was read by Debbie Lochridge.
Mary Jane Parker presented welcome
gifts to new moms after each one shared a few words
about their "Aggie"
Pres. Dena informed moms of meeting
donations...aggie brags; cell phone ringing during
meetings; wearing something "aggie".
Fundraising Committee Report:
glassware project was presented by Cindi Foster; Dena
Trice spoke about the salad luncheon; Mary Fontenot will
contact H.E.B. and Kroger managers about donating to our
fundraiser; Mary Jane Parker showed flip flops; Jan
Novosad said that cookbooks need to be sold; gig 'em
signs need to be sold; Mary Ann Gaylord reminded us
about her "Tastefully Simple" presentation to be held at
our October meeting; in the spring we will have Outback
tickets again; we need volunteers to place signs and
collect money from the "Gig 'Em" yard signs.
Old Business: New Moms meeting at
Peggy Robertson's house was enjoyed by everyone that
attended. There were nine (9) new moms present.
New Business: 2007-2008 budget was
presented and some changes were discussed. Marilyn
Ferguson made a motion to accept the budget - Cindi
Foster seconded the motion to accept; Aggie Moms Camp
was discussed and everyone was encouraged to attend; it
was decided that we would adopt aggie moms this year;
Goody bags were talked about by Sharon Jeffrey.
A thank you note from Jaimie Pyles
was read by Kay Stephens.
Pictures of officers were picked up
by the owners. Kimberly Ruyle won a prize for having 6
correct matches (officer to picture).
Aggie Brags: Jan Novosad's new
grandbaby; Dena Trice's new grandbaby
Pocket money went to Alexander Pyle
and Justin Lewis. They received $16.00 each
Mary Ann Gaylord motioned for the
mneeting to be adjourned; Sharon Jeffrey seconded.
The meeting was adjourned at 8:20
p.m.
