Meeting was
called to order by Dena Trice at
6:35 p.m.
Prayer was
offered by Rhonda Pyle.
Refreshments
were served.
The approval
of the January meeting minutes
was acknowledged by Joyce Boyles
and seconded by Betty Rice.
The
Treasurer's report was
discussed. The question was
asked about when membership
dues were due. It was
determined that the fiscal year
is May 31 to May 30.
Fundraising
Committee report was presented
by Cindi Foster. She stated
that we were receiving profit
from glassware. Jan Novosad
informed us that we still have
several cookbooks to sell.
Old Business
Four
members of our Baytown Club
attended the District VI meeting
in Pearland on January 26th.
New Business
Mary Jane
Parker revealed the names of the
nominating committee for the
08-09 officers. They are Betty
Rice, Jan Novosad and Kathy
Thompson.
The
scholarship committee will
consist of Mary Fontenot, Tommye
Sandlin and Lisa Segura. We
will know who the scholarship
recipients are in April.
Special
Projects
Sharon Jeffrey has a few left
over goody bag backpacks for
sale.
Debbie Lochridge read an excerpt
from a letter from her son.
Linda Couch and Janet Traylor
will be working on the May
meeting - catering from
Antonio's.
The Baytown
Club will be hosting the
District VI meeting in 2009.
The date will be February 7,
2009. Details will be
forthcoming.
Copies of
Changes to By-laws and Standing
Rules were given to members
present. These will be
discussed at the March meeting.
Mary Cooper
will be our guest speaker at the
March meeting.
We played a
game of Bingo for fun.
Aggie Brags
were given by Cindi Foster and
Mary Jane Parker.
Aggie Pocket
Money went to Philip Segura and
Kendall Guenther.
Sharon
Jeffrey won rodeo tickets.
Cindi Foster
motioned for the meeting to be
adjourned and Gloria Graves
seconded.
The meeting
was adjourned at 8:15 p.m.
