The
meeting began with a
welcome from Dena
Trice. She introduced
each of the past
president's and
presented each of them
with roses. A prayer
was said and
refreshments were
served.
The
meeting was called to
order at 7:10 p.m.
Our
special guest, Mary
Cooper - Federation
President Elect, was
introduced by Dena
Trice.
Approval of the February
Meeting Minutes was
recognized by Linda
Couch and seconded by
Gloria Graves.
Due
to the absence of Manju
Wadhwani, the
Treasurer's Report will
be e-mailed to each
member.
Membership Committee
report was given by Mary
Jane Parker.
Fundraising Committee
report was that the
Outback Steakhouse
fundraiser would
probably be in August.
The date of the Howdy
Party Auction will be
July 26th, 2008.
Old
Business: The
collection for Chris
Lochridge will continue
through the month of
April.
The
Scholarship Committee
will meet and have a
report at the next
meeting.
Goody
bags will be delivered
on April 28th. Sharon
Jeffrey is in charge of
collecting money and
donations for the bags.
Linda
Couch will be collecting
money for the
scholarship dinner to be
held in May.
Ring
crests orders will be
taken by Mary Jane
Parker.
The
Change in By-Laws and
Standing Rules were
discussed and voted on.
Baytown Aggie Moms will
host the 2009 District
Meeting. It will be
held on February 7,
2009. The theme will be
"Jeans and Jewels".
New
Business: The
Nominating Committee
will present the
officers for 08-09 at
the April Meeting.
We
discussed and
decided for Treasurer
Wadhwani to do what is
best for the renewal
of our CD, which renews
on March 8th.
Kathy
Thompson passed around a
card for all of us to
sign for a former Aggie
who is suffering from
cancer.
Dena
presented an idea of our
club selling a book
"Standing Together: The
Spirit of Kyle Field".
10% of sales would come
back to our club. We
will discuss at a future
meeting.
Aggie
Brags were given by
Tommye Sandlin and
Marilyn Ferguson.
Aggie
Pocket Money went to
Blaien Friermood and
Craig Jeffrey.
