




The meeting was called to
order at 6:40 p.m. by Mary
Jane Parker.
Prayer was said by
Francis Sutton.
"Tastefully Simple" was
presented by Mary Ann
Gaylord. Sampling and
tasting was enjoyed by
everyone. Kim Belton of
"Market Day" pie sales was
also present and offering
samples of pies. The motion
was made by Gloria Graves
that we participate in a
fundraiser selling pies.
The motion was seconded by
Meredith Coleman.
October meeting minutes
were read by Kay Stephens.
Approval of the minutes was
made by Linda Couch and
seconded by Gloria Graves.
Treasurer's report was
given by Manju Wadhwani.
Fundraising Committee
Report was given by Janice
Rowland. The Sterling
Bazaar will be on November
22nd from 10:00 a.m. until
5:00 p.m. There is a
sign-up sheet for volunteers
to work the booth. We will
be selling flip-flops,
glassware, yard signs,
wooden ornaments, and
cookbooks. It was decided
that the cookbooks would
sell to club members for
$5.00. The motion was made
by Gloria Graves and
seconded by Ronda Pyle.
Special Projects:
Halloween cards were
sent to our students with a
$5.00 gift card to
McDonald's enclosed. The
gift cards were donated by
the Wurzbachs.
40 goody bags have
been purchased and will be
delivered on November 17th.
Old Business:
Aggie Mom Camp will
be November 14-16th.
Dena Trice reminded
us that the District 6
Meeting will be held on
February 7th, 2009. The
theme,
"Denim and Diamonds"
has been selected.
Continuing Education
Scholarship: The
question has been asked
- "Why are we sending
applications to A & M to
be selected for
continuing scholarships
instead of the
recipients being chosen
by the club?"
New Business:
Priscilla Woolford
has been named the
chairperson for the
scholarship committee.
Cathy Thompson
presented the quilt
square for the
Federation Quilt.
December meeting will
be on December 4th.
This will be our
Christmas party. We
will have an ornament
exchange ($15.00
limit). Covered dish
and finger foods will be
the menu. This
was approved by Joyce
Broyles and seconded by
Sharon Jeffrey.
Aggie Brags were given by
Dena Trice, Meredith
Coleman, Sharon Jeffrey and
Cathy Thompson.
Aggie Pocket Money went
to Laura Dyer and Trey
Cooper. They each will
receive $15.00.
Thank you cards were read
by Kay Stephens.
Door prizes went to
Gloria Graves and Jan
Novosad.
A motion to adjourn the
meeting was made by Sharon
Jeffrey and seconded by Dena
Trice.
