The
meeting was called to order
at 6:45 p.m. by Mary Jane
Parker.
Prayer
was said by Becky Erikson.
A buffet
style covered dish meal was
enjoyed by everyone present.
Special
speakers from the Texas A &
M University Crime
Prevention Unit were
introduced at 7:15 p.m.
The
minutes of the September
meeting were read by Kay
Stephens. Approval was made
by Marilyn Ferguson and
Joyce Broyles.
Treasurer's report was
presented by Manju Wadhwani.
Kimberly
Ruyle reported that we have
approximately 30 new members
this year. Mary Jane Parker
said that we would be
"adopting" an Aggie Mom from
Louisiana.
Fundraising Committee:
-
"You've Been Gig'ed"
signs are about 3 weeks
behind due to Hurricane
Ike.
-
Sterling Bazaar is
November 22. We have
wooden Christmas
ornaments to paint for
the event.
-
The
Outback Steakhouse
ticket sale will not be
until January or
February.
-
We
will be selling frozen
pies for the holiday
season. Samples will be
available at the Nov.
meeting.
-
Also,
Mary Ann Gaylord will be
presenting "Tastefully
Simple" samples at the
next meeting.
Goody
Bags will be delivered Nov.
17th. The cost for each is
$12.00 and the deadline to
order is Oct. 31st. Sharon
Jeffrey is in charge of the
orders.
Dena
Trice listed the names of
the recipients of the
"Continuing Education
Scholarships". They are:
Rachel Job, Justin Lewis,
Kyleigh Parker, Stoney
Burke, Juan Gonzales, Ashley
Karl, and Shikha Yadav.
Aggie Mom
Camp will be November 14-16.
Gloria Graves encouraged
everyone to attend if
possible.
An Aggie
Brag was given by Cyndi
Foster.
Aggie
Pocket Money went to Kyleigh
Parker and Jessie Sutton.
They each received $19.00.
Door
prizes were won by Linda
Couch and Marilyn Ferguson.

Couch motioned to adjourn
the meeting and Gloria
Graves seconded.
Meeting
was adjourned at 8:45 p.m.
