The meeting was called to order at 6:40 p.m. by Pres. Mary Jane Parker.

Prayer was said by Tommye Sandlin.

A salad supper was enjoyed by everyone present.

At 7:15 p.m. officers and committee chairs were introduced.  New Aggie Moms were recognized and presented with a gift by Kimberly Ruyle.  Lifetime members were also introduced as well as other members.

Treasurer's report was presented by Manju Wadhwani.  She informed the club that any check from Baytown Aggie Moms Club would require two (2) signatures - the Treasurer's and the President's.

Janice Rowland gave several suggestions for fundraisers:

• book scholarships;

• selling pies;

• "You've been gigged" signs;

• flip flops;

• cookbooks;

• glassware;

• Outback Steakhouse tickets - Becky Erikson reported that we would only be getting 100 tickets this year;

• painting and selling wooden Christmas ornaments; and

• Sterling Star Bazaar.

A motion was made by Kimberly Ruyle that we participate in the Sterling Star Bazaar and it was seconded by Meredith Coleman

It was recommended that all Aggie Moms attend Aggie Mom Camp.  It will be held in College Station.  The dates are November 14 through November 16.

Budget approval was accepted by Darlene Duhon and seconded by Tommye Sandlin.

Goody bag orders and money will be collected by Sharon Jeffrey.  Deadline to order is October 31.  Delivery of goody bags will be Monday November 17.  The cost per bag is $12.00.

Cathy Ikes donation was discussed.

Aggie Pocket Money went to: Kameron Ingrando, Alex Pyle and Tehniya Wadhwani.  Each received $15.00.

Thank You cards were read by Kay Stephens.  They were from Blaien Friermood and John Van Alstyne, Lt. Gen. U.S. Army (Ret).

Cathy Thompson motioned to close the meeting - Darlene Duhon seconded.

The meeting was adjourned at 8:38 p.m.

The next meeting will be October 2, 2008, at Maranatha Church at 6:30 p.m.
