The meeting was called to
order at 6:42 p.m. by
President Mary Jane Parker.
Prayer was said by Kathy
Thompson.
Snacks were enjoyed by
everyone present.
January meeting minutes
were read by Kay Stephens.
A motion to accept the
minutes as read was made by
Linda Couch and seconded by
Meredith Coleman.
Treasurer's report was
given by Manju Wadhwani and
will be filed for audit.
Orders for ring crests
for graduating seniors will
be taken by Kimberly Ruyle.
These will be delivered in
May.
The pie sale fundraiser
generated about $717.00. We
will likely continue this
fundraiser during the next
year. The Outback
Steakhouse fundraiser is
still pending.
Dena Trice and Jan
Novosad reported on the
progress of the District VI
meeting to be held Saturday,
February 7, 2009, at 9:30
a.m. We will be hosting the
event. We will have a
silent auction and also have
several items for sale.
Dena Trice shared
information with the club
how some clubs donate book
scholarships to their
continuing students.
Gloria Graves was
nominated as a Federation
Officer Nominee by Jan
Novasad. The nomination was
seconded by Joyce Boyles.
The nominating committee
chairperson for the
2009-2010 officers for
Baytown Aggie Moms is Kay
Stephens.
Priscilla Woolford
reported that scholarship
applications have been
delivered or mailed to area
high schools and are also on
our website.
Sharon Jeffrey will be
sending Valentine cards to
our Aggies with a Sonic gift
card enclosed. The gift
cards were donated by the
manager of the Sonic on
Garth Road just north of
I-10. Sharon will also be
taking orders for Goody Bags
to be delivered on April
27th. Order deadline is
March 13th and the cost is
$12.00.
Parents Weekend at TAMU
will be in April. The club
was asked if we wanted to
set up a table at the
boutique. Joyce Boyles
motioned for a "no" and
Gloria Graves seconded that
motion.
Aggie Brags were given by
Linda Couch, Mary Jane
Parker, and Cindy Foster.
A Thank You letter from
Stoney Burk, one of our
scholarship recipients, was
read by Kay Stephens.
Aggie Pocket money of
$17.00 went to Chris
Saunders.
Aggie Mom door prizes
went to Shana Bauman and Kay
Stephens.
Next meeting will be
March 5, 2009 @ 6:30 p.m.
We will be honoring our Past
Presidents.
Darlene Duhon motioned to
adjourn the meeting. Becky
Erickson seconded the
motion.
