During the week prior to a
game, the student body gathers to generate enthusiasm and campus spirit
for the upcoming event. Under
the direction of the yell leaders the yells and songs are practiced. Of particular note is the Midnight Yell Practice held on a
Friday night prior to each home football game.
Dating back to the early 1930's, thousands gather and follow the
Aggie Band across campus to Kyle Field for the midnight rally.
